Premier Subaru is Proud to Welcome Geoff Fox to our Team!June 27, 2011:Geoff Fox joins Branford Town Band for the Branford Fireworks
Appearances on our behalf are one of Geoff's responsibilities as a member of the Premier Subaru team. So, on Saturday night, after much ado about whether or not rain and storms would cancel the show, the
Branford Town Band (including our very own flute player, Barbara Mullen) was honored to have Geoff Fox emcee their performance at the Branford Fireworks.

Everyone enjoyed what Geoff's lighthearted but professional style brought to the show. The band even surprised everyone (including Geoff) when they handed him the job of conductor and burst into a winter favorite-"Sleighride." Nothing makes you appreciate a warm summer night like the thought of snow! I was unable to see from my spot on a friend's boat out in the harbor, but I'm told that Geoff did quite well.
The band's performance and Geoff's remarks were wonderful. The fireworks were spectacular (photo to the left courtesy of my iPhone- check out
Geoff's, they're much better! See him setting up the camera in the photo to the right, courtesy of Barbara Mullen.) We're glad that Geoff could join us and that the weather held up. If you didn't get to see the show in person, be sure to visit
Geoff's Facebook Page or
Geoff's blog or to see some incredible photographs by Geoff Fox himself and read his take on the evening.
Thanks again Geoff!

Did you see a flash of Ruby Red Pearl somewhere between Hamden and Harford? It could be Geoff Fox in his 2011 Subaru Outback.
We're excit

ed to have him in an Outback and we're certain he'll find the Subaru's
Vehicle Dynamic Control and other active safety features useful in
wildlife avoidance in back country Hamden. (I grew up in Hamden- I know what he's talking about- you never know what you'll run into on a dark road!) While we can't control whether or not Geoff has any other
run-ins with law enforcement, we do know he'll be driving safely and

in accordance with all laws regarding cell phone use because this Outback is equipped with
Bluetooth hands-free as part of the
premium harmon/kardon audio system. (Barb "Nama" Mullen -one of our
Subie Divas - made sure to pair his phone with it before he left. She also made sure he knew how to use all the features on the car.) Of course, on the damp days of this spring and early summer he might find the fog lamps useful, too. (Click the links to read about the Subaru features and the tidbits from Geoff's blog that let us know how he might use them.)
When winter rolls back around, he'll be all set with the all weather package- heated seats, heated side mirrors and heated windshield (so even when snow rears its cold head, you won't ever see him pulled over scraping ice off his windshield or trying to figure out how to scrape ice of those small side mirrors.)
With Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and the legendary
Subaru BOXER engine, leather-trimmed upholstery, woodgrain-patterned
interior accents, a 10 way power adjustable driver's seat, dual zone
climate control, and lots more features, we know that Geoff will be enjoying his commute!
-Jennifer Greenberg, Internet DepartmentMay 3, 2011:Robert J. Alvine, President of Premier Subaru in Branford, announced today that 7 time Emmy Award winner weather
personality Geoff Fox has been retained as a spokesperson for the dealership.
Mr. Fox will appear in a series of broadcast television, cable, radio and internet announcements in the coming year. He will also make appearances on behalf of the dealership at select public events and charitable functions.
In announcing the partnership, Mr. Alvine stated, "The Subaru brand has a well earned reputation for exceptional all-wheel performance in all kinds of driving conditions. And given the kind of winter we just experienced, we feel the combination of Subaru performance and Geoff's extensive knowledge of Connecticut weather would make him an ideal spokesperson for Premier Subaru going forward."
Fox has over 25 years of on-air experience in the Connecticut market. He recently returned to the air forecasting the weather at WTIC FOX 61 for the station's 4PM and 11PM newscasts. Prior to his current position, he was a weather forecaster for the state's ABC affiliate in New Haven for many years.
"I'm looking forward to bringing what I hope is a unique perspective to the automotive market in general, and to Premier Subaru customers in particular. It's not often that a car comes with its own weatherman." said Fox.
