from Subaru of America 12/10/2010: Welcome Party tells the story of four brothers that travel in their Subaru
Outback to the eastern most point in the US (East Quoddy Head, Maine), every
year, in order to be the first ones to welcome in the New Year.
We see a
tight exterior shot of the driver's side window of a Subaru Outback?. The window
is coated with ice except where the wiper has been at work.
"It's not
easy getting to the eastern most point in the U.S. But every December 31st, we
always make it.
We see the vehicle pulling up to the rocky outcrop at
dusk. The four get out of the car, which is packed to the ceiling with gear. We
see the guys setting up tents and lawn chairs around a fire.
"The very
first people in the country to meet the New Year. Head-on."
We see the
guys now sitting around the fire, wearing cheap New Year's party fireworks.
from Subaru of America 8/30/2010: Video opens with a young guy standing on top of a rock in
a rugged canyon. "I thought it was over here." says the guy. His girlfriend
looks a bit confused and frustrated.
The scene shows a couple wandering
around, climbing over rocks. He clicks the remote, and they hear the horn... and
then an echo of the honk. They continue to look around... confused.
The
Subaru Outback is shown behind a rock formation, while the couple continues to
wander around on the other side of the rocks. And the horn honks
again.
"Our Outback always gets us there.... sometimes it just takes us a
little longer to get back."
from Subaru of America 8/30/2010: Video opens with a driving shot of Subaru Outback on long,
scenic drive. The couple in the car is newly married, and they're dressed in
wedding attire. Cut to the back of the car to see "Just Married" written in the
dust of the rear window, and pan down to see the clanking of cans tied to the
bumper.
The couple comes upon a buffalo in the middle of the road. The
man tries to get the buffalo to move, but he won't budge, so they go around the
buffalo.
They stop at the top of a hill - There's a campsite set up at
the bottom of the hill. He carries her piggyback down the hill to the tent. Rain
starts falling and the tent collapses on top of them.
Next you see a man
trying to put the tent back up while the soaking wet bride in the car is
laughing at her new husband. He gives up and runs up the hill to join her in the
car.
from Subaru of America 8/3/2010: A man loses his sunglasses and we tag along as he revists
the adventures he went on that day to find them.
from Subaru of America 3/1/2010: The Subaru Outback returns from an adventurous trip only
to make the wrong turn and becomes part of a local town's parade.
